Small pseudo-update. My RAM arrived today so I decided to throw everything together to see if it's all ok.

Unfortunately, my current GPU (8800 GTS G92) decided it doesn't like me. *sigh*

Here's the RAM 6GB DDR3 1600 MHz 7-8-7-20 1.65v

Messy cables alert! This is going to be PITA on the final build. I might have to mod some of those cables to make them shorter.

Together at last!

Adios, crappy Intel TIM

Not for the faint of heart. Yes... I know...it's a...a... STOCK COOLER!!!!!

All together minutes prior to the disappointment

Do tell me how you like that memory; and umm any chance you'll pull the heatsink off and tell me what chips it has? hahahaha

Well, I'm not a big fan of pulling off the heatsinks, even though the Mushkin ones come off pretty easily.

I'm amazed at the fact that I'm now sitting at 40 minutes of Small FFTs at that vcore! I love this chip so far!

Once I take the bclk up to 200, supposedly I should see a boost in memory performance (like I need it!)

Anyway, so far in the couple of hours I've been able to play with it, I love this memory!

They sure are nice and the price isn't too bad when compared to the other kits in the same ballpark.

CAS 7 is the lowest I've seen on a 1600 MHz kit out of the good vendors. Especially since the voltage is so low now, I bet the Dominator or Ascent heatsink is probably not even necessary and only drives the price up for little benefit. I'm wondering if these sticks could do 2000 at 9-9-9-24!! It would be fun to try!

Even at their rated settings, they're going to be more than enough for me!
