I'm jealous of your equipment and your skills. Lack of originality? I'll take this over any over-the-top mods.

Welcome to the Forums Jesse.

Good God......WOW nice work.

Makes any of my Copper spray paint PC's of yester year look like a steaming pile of dead pig fetus's baking in the sun.

Very nice work..I am ridiculously jealous of your workshop.

Man, what more needs to be said. Stunning mod! You can also count me as being jealous, I've always wanted to add some copper to my case but wouldn't know where to start. I almost ordered that same case but shipping from the US was $80 and that put it out of reach for me. Anyways, welcome and don't listen to the naysayers.

@Sniper - Thanks mate. I appreciate that.

@SKYMTL - My mistake, I copied the text from another forum. I have this log posted on 11 of them.

@Neolithium_Wpg - Thank you.

@Chilly - Thanks, hopefully you wont be waiting too long.

@matsta31 Thank you, I will try.

@magictorch - Thanks mate. I have two 500LPH pumps, and 480mm of rad space so I'm fairly sure I'll be safe in terms of temps... if not I have some room for growth.

@MacJunky - I think the largest problem with people is that they just look at the pictures and skip the text... then make brainless comments making suggestions and adding thier $0.02 w/o understanding the premise. Don't get me wrong... I want the involvement and the suggestions but I want educated suggestions. If you don't have the time to read, don't take the time to post. As for the thumbnails... I don't use them usually - just on the diagrams and side thoughts.

@lemonlime -Thanks man, hopefully I wont keep you waiting too long.

@cwestwell - Thank you very much mate, truth be told I do most of my work for this project here:
*click for big*

@miggs78 - Thank you very much

@Nodscene - Thanks man. Don't worry... I pay no mind to anyone who plays down my achievements on this project - lets just hope I can live up to the hype ;)

@BrainEater - Thank you. That lathe is about as old as me, and it still runs like new... the Croat's know their lathes.

That is intense!!

only 3000$?!!!

It looks like it cost well over 5000$ and you're only half-way through I'm guessing...

This is one of the biggest and most impressive mods I've ever seen (I haven't seen that many, but still...)

you're dedication and attention to detail really shows and, I must say, will all that copper you should have called it the Cupric mod, not Prometheus lol.

I can't wait to see the rest of it, and don't worry about making us wait, it will be well worth it.

$3000 was rev1.0... this project has 'billowed' slightly.

Last I checked it's up-to ~$12,500.00+Sponsorships+shipping/duty/brokerage costs.
Not a number I'm particularly proud of at this point... I really have been fluttering on the brink of absolute $0 for about a year. But all the spending is done, I just need to wait for the copper and carbon parts to get back from the watejet, laser, and bender.

As for the cupric comment; the CU in PROMETHEUSCU stands for the Periodic Symbol of Copper. ;)

My intentions with this project are to push my limits and stamp my place. In the coming year I have plans on releasing a %100 carbon fiber case with more custom options than a civic - priced competitively with the higher end aluminum cases. So, Prometheus is also paving the way for that project.

However mostly Prometheus will be my Day-To-Day rig and I wanted something to look cool on my desk.

Thanks.

Hehe.....

I understand the costs of modding all too well.

----------

While I appreciate the carbon fiber , I think you should do more copper work , with your equipment/tools , a 100% copper case would be NP.

Nice stuff mang.

That is absolutely amazing!! Looks great, and your worklog is an inspiration for anybody who's decided to take a few pics while simply putting a computer together.

I did try to read as I went through, but wasn't completely sure on what the total time frame is for what we've seen here... is that 6 months worth of work? (Looks like a hell of a lot more than that!! ).

Welcome to Hardware Canucks, and thanks for sharing!
