Default Rig #1! Case Mod/Paint + Build

Sup all

So after months of deciding what to buy, and hours of contemplating what to do with the case and such, I have come to a decision and I'm going to be doing a worklog on my first rig!

**A huge thanks goes out to brewer265 / RenoRacer for answering a ton of questions. Brewer also hooked up some pretty sweet things!**

I do have pictures of some parts, but others are awaiting delivery. I will be adding pics once i get things rollin!

So here goes.
The final parts:
Case : Silverstone TJ-07
CPU : Q6700
MB : eVGA 750i FTW
PSU : Corsair HX620W
RAM : 4GB Mushkin PC2-8000 Redlines
GPU : eVGA GTX 260 Core 216
HD #1 : WD Raptor 36 GB (OS)
HD #2 : WD Caviar 640 GB Black Edition (Storage)
HSF : Xigmatek HDT-S1283 w/ NF-P12
Case Fans : 3x 120mm Blue LED Yate Loons (intake) / 2x 92mm Blue LED Fans (intake) / 2x 120MM Noctoa NF-P12 (exhaust)

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Here are some pictures of the parts I have. I am still awaiting on some parts to arrive: MB/GPU/HD's/Case Fans (check out my WTB -- I'm still looking for some things.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------

First Job: Case Mod

First off, huge shout to brewer for hookin up an amazing case. The Silverstone TJ-07 is definitely one i never thought i could be using for my first rig, but never stop believin!

Here is a list of tasks i plan on completing before the rest of my parts arrive:
  1. Cut holes into chassis for better cable management (pictures with captions will be coming to explain each step as they are completed)
  2. Cut a 14x14 inch window on the left side panel. Gotta show the insides when i switch to H2O later on! Mount a clear acrylic window using 4010 ultra adhesive double sided 3M tape
  3. Prime the interior. 3-4 Coats of self-etching primer after a thorough clean.
  4. Paint the interior. Havn't decided on a colour yet! open to suggestions!!
Pictures will come!
Here are some original shots of the TJ-07, which I'm sure many of you are accustomed to.

Aand... after disassembly:

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Feel free to post your comments!

Take it easy for now.
