Good stuff! :D |
Looking good. Look forward to seeing the build. I'm itching to get the rest of my parts. |
Hmmm.. I remember the time where I opened new boxes of hardware. I love the new part smell. Is that 4 sticks of ram I see? |
Yessir it is, 4 sticks of OCZ platinum revision 2 mem running at 4-4-4-15 by default. Booyeah! hehe.... only problem with all these lovely parts is.... My Crosshair Hasnt Arrived Yet!!! :censored: |
Lucky duck, with your two 8800's. Which OS are you going to be running? |
Thankie, hehe (Theyre gonna be GTX's in a few months, lol). OS is gonna be MCE'05 for now, at least until Vista gets more stable SLI Drivers and have support for all my software (I use many photo/audio/video editing tools). |
You're might be better off running just 2 sticks of RAM on MCE until Vista gets its act together. Oh well, use 'em if ya got 'em, i guess |
Why just 2 sticks? It that because of that max limit thing of 3g for windows xp? (Ive never has more than 2 gigs in any system, lol) I thought there was a fix/hack for that that allowed all 4 gigs or more to be useable. PS: OMG THE CM STACKER 832 IS AMAZING. After removing the side panels, all the front drive bay covers, the motherboard tray, the psu bracket and both hard drive cages (i have two in my system) my case is basically just frame rails.... AND ITS STILL SOLID AS HELL. Oh Wow! I couldnt believe it, i shook it, testing to see if it would warp or bend but NOTHING HAPPENED. Bet your butts the stacker 832 is gonna get a good review from me (thus far, lol) |
Yeah- only windows vista 64 can actually take advantage of all four gigs of RAM, but also, if you're going to try to OC your RAM at all, four sticks is less stable than two, and you're always more prone to trouble. OCZ RAM is so widely compatible and quite stable, so you might be fine. |
