It is absolutely amazing I'm looking to do something similar but with a mesh and solid wood desk.

Glad you like it. Piece of advise, DO NOT MAKE IT SO HEAVY as I had.

This desk is a modification to a desk I made years ago out of 2x4's.

That desk needs a photon generator, some dilithium chrystals and a flux capacitor! With the flux capacitor you could go ten years into the future, buy 1 year old used gear on the cheap, come back to this time and have way advanced gear!

Or not...
