I notice you've got your memory listed as 2 ascents and 2 redlines, but both sets appear to have the ascent heat spreaders.... what's the deal with that?
Thanks for all the great comments!

The Ascent series are basically the great heatspreaders.
So the black Ascent's are the XP2 8500's inside.
The Redline Ascent's are basically red (obviously) and run at 8000 like original Redlines.

Main difference is the color and the Redline stability

How are you running so many hard drives? My Maximus only has 6 SATA slots and a single IDE connector.

Shame about the 4870X2 waterblock. Seems like that card is trying to give all the waterblock makers grief. EK went through 3 revisions, and there was the no-post problem, and now you're saying the DD version isn't quite up to snuff either...
Its not in these but i installed a SATA extension, in the pci stots basically.

9x HDs, 2x pumps, 2x res, no wonder you need that case!

Nice work! Nice investment!

And still it doesn't look cramped, I'm sure with apollo's master mind, he can get some more stuff in there.

Looks freakin' amazing. White looks so good. That's pure craftsman ship on the build.
I think you need to add another 4870x2 in crossfire

The Stinger? 2C better than an Apogee GT (bowed) on the QX9650, loaded. I'll setup an E8400 and start playing with tonight.

It is still a gorgeous block.
