Default VanLAN Vancouver Monday Aug 4th!

Hey guys, just a heads up for anyone bored in the area!!

We have $4000 in cash prizes for ESWC game tournaments, and almost $5k in hardware prizes to be given away! I literally had to rent a 5 Ton truck to move all the stuff!! (pics are coming up soon)

The LAN is 3 days long, and there will be a big tournament schedule up soon too. Check out the web! VanLan - Vancouver Canada's Premier Gaming Festival - Forum

We have some pretty hefty networking infrastructure too, playing with it right now!! Anyway stop by say hi!!

It's a lan party

750W PSU is not a joke, since if you bring an 1000 watt PSU in running at 80% load, it's going to suck up more than 800 watts of power, and that's no good for a mass event like this. Dangerous!

SIgh...Stupid scheduling over at futureshop...I got mon-wed shifts and thurs-sat off...

yea man, when we are working with 200+ computers, we want to make sure our power is clean. If you have more power, let us know, we'll make it work. And yes it seems like it is alot, but its 3 days. I routinely pay $20 for the local ones I go to, which are 1 day long, and prizes are pretty weak. Also the tournaments we are holding are going to be extremely solid. We have 4 Aim2game servers in house, each with dual Quadcore CPU's. We can simutaneously host 32 game servers. All to spec, at the control of my fingertips. Hot.

Heres us with some toys:

you guys are fed
you've alienated yourselves from just about all the other local LAN parties in the area by your stupid spamming and backriding/backstabbings.
you've had to change venues twice and you're not even at full capacity.
Nevermind the spending. For a first time event, you've sure gone all out. I guess that explains the high admission price.
Ok I'm going to stop before I say something else...

Just know that C-Toan LAN party is not supporting VanLAN...
