LAN - local area network, right?

So a LAN party is just a bunch of people gathering in a cold, cold place, hooking up all their computers to a hub, and heating up said cold, cold place. : D

So you bring your entire computer setup tower and monitor and play a common game?. I take it it is also like a show and tell type event where you can display your custom builds and what nots.

Are they usually all day or night events? What is the typical cost to attend one of these things?

I think i would need a dolly to carry my equipment to one of these things, the tower alone weighs like 30+ lbs.

Im sure it's a great time eating cheesies and drinking orange soda or grape for some

Depending where/when it is and at what time maybe I could come.

I'd have to do something about my w/c rad though, it's just sitting beside my case since my ghetto mounting method failed. It would be a PITA to bring the case with the rad dangling...

A LAN party is where you eventually find out who built their system with some cooling headroom, and who didn't.

Been ages since I did this sort of thing... I think I was still using Win 98. If I've got the games, this sounds like some good fun.

I'm all down for this but before you start planning rooms I suggest first getting a date set and maybe a registration to see how many people you can get to commit. Also maybe a fee you can include as a registration cost. I only say this so you dont go through all the planning and it busts. Again I'm not being negative lol I'm just trying to help. I'd really enjoy this though
