Any lan partys in Ottawa?

Though I am not dialed into LAN gaming I have never seen an organized LAN party in Ottawa. Back in the day though, I did host two and attend some with just friends. But unlike those FPS gamers, we played BG series as a team and a few were dedicated to C&C,

there used to be one called something like apb asylum or something like that. I am not sure if they still do it.

There was one at Carleton University a few weeks ago.

Lanopolis 5.0 was at the university of ottawa the weekend after the carlton one

I think it it only an annual event (i went last year - couldnt make it this year)

Kinda cool, too bad I am not a FPS player, woudl probably enjoy these events. But aw well we have our memorys.

I prefer these types of LAN par-tays... much easier to organize, and food/sleeping arrangements are much more convenient.

I went to a LAN recently where this guy rented a small space in a community centre. we were about 12 guys, but could've easily manged twice the amount -- the cost of the rental and liquor liscense ended up being ~ $25 a person. It was great...

I'd be down for organizing one later this summer if we had enough HWCers interested...
