What is LowerMainLAN ?

LowerMainLAN is a LAN party gaming event, and is a joint effort between CapLAN, CtoanLAN, Digital Storm LAN and LAN Party EH! It's one of the biggest annual events in the Greater Vancouver Area, and the largest in North Vancouver.
LowerMainLAN 2 will have the capacity for 250 PC gamers and up to 40 console gamers.
When is the next LowerMainLAN ?

LowerMainLAN 2 will be held May long weekend 2009 (May 17th and 18th). 24 hours of sweet gaming action! It will be held in the gymnasium at the Parkgate Community Center in North Vancouver. Admission is $30 for the full 24 hours. Check out our information page for more details.

|| 75% no || 20% yes || 5% rubber pants ||

The admin are different but the old core staff from lancouver are the staff and admin of Lowemainlan 1. Really the staff are just the north shores hard core lanners. Lancouver was headed by Spencer Whitney, as Lowermainlan1 was an offshoot of arman and mine's CapLAN, a completely separate lanning entity. When it came time to create LML1 we use park gate, lancouvers old venue, as I have all the floor plans, wiring and schematics of the building and we have a report with the staff and administration there. So it was an easy location to work with.

LML2 now is much different as its a joint effort of Caplan, Ctoan and DSL. We all wanted a big event but summer 2009 showed us all that there isnt that much room in Vancouver at this time. So we put all our ideas for our 'own' big lans aside and focusing on working together to make one awesome lan. putting asside our pride and p3n1s waving. And never forget, we are doing it for you!

As for the rubber pants see below:

ahaha, we have to move literally a half short ton (~1200 lb) of equipment, servers, switches, data arrays and our own rigs. so i think we have your beat. Plus we hardly even get to game at the event with everything to work on. you can lift it and you know it will be worth it, I guarantee it.

Biggest thing we need as advertisement. We have solid numbers at this point but a full house is just that much better. take the post above and spread it like an STD. I will email you with exact times and stuff if we need you two to help out with transportation, setup, networking, ect. we have a good chunk of staff as it is but I haven't worked out the staffing logistics yet. most likley though we can use you and your car cpt. Vortex just to help move all he crap. Whats your vehicles status?
