Hummm, if I have a job by then, well I might be going to this, we'll see.

Any other HWC regulars thinking of heading out that way?

Just posted the cash prize matrices on the website earlier today, there will be cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams

That sucks about the power bar and headset :( We've increased the number of staff this year to stop this kind of incident happening again.

I'll be heading up from the High Park area of Toronto if anyone wants a ride...ONE PERSON ONLY!!! LOL!! The car isn't big enough for any more than that.

Sounds like a good time...Looking forward to it.

Haven't been to one of your events in a couple of years. The last one was great!

Thanks!!!

We're almost at 100 signups for the event! Make sure you get signed up if you're going to be coming so you can take advantage of our excellent prepay discounts. Remember that girls get in free!

We've also added another game to the event, GRID, a racing game, something else at least to play other than one of the many FPS titles :)

So all is looking great for the LAN. We're almost done with our equipment preparation and have lots of great prizes to give away at the event. Currently the number of registered users is at 252, we expect this to climb further until it hits or possibly exceeds 300. For CS 1.6 at 23 teams we're just one team away from being able to offer $2000/$1000/$500 for the 1st/2nd/3rd place prize. Source is a little bit behind this right now at 18 putting it at $1500/$750/$375 for 1st/2nd/3rd place cash prize. Due to lack of interest we've dropped the L4D tournament from the cash tournament lineup. Instead it will be included as a free-entry tournament. Team Fortress 2 is currently at 3 teams while Call of Duty 4 is at 6. TF 2 might not run if we don't reach at least 4 teams, however with 6 teams or more there will be no stopping the COD4 tournament :)

Right now there are 18 days until the event begins (Friday May 8th at lunchtime/12pm) so make sure you get signed up and pre-paid soon to reserve your spot on our website, Zero PING Events Inc. - Toronto Area LAN Parties. Time is running out to take advantage of the pre-pay discount of $10 ($40 currently via paypal as opposed to $50 at the door). You have until May 5th to pre-pay and then the only option is the door fee. This is shaping up to be our best LAN yet with some of the new equipment that we've added this year to improve things for you, the gamer. If you have any questions about the event please email them to info@zeropingevents.com Look forward to seeing you all at the LAN!
