I took a nice old fashioned Dyson to the thread.

Thanks for all the free bumps but let's let cooler heads prevail in this case.

No idea what's up with this guy but my email has been spammed from this thread. Guess it's my fault for being subbed to instant email notification.

I really don't get why there's a discussion going on in this thread which should be just like any other BST with no threadcrapping allowed.

Anyways, carry on folks

Slighty OT but Why is there no warranty on these cards? I'm assuming its cause the warranty goes poof when you remove the heatsink, but what about on an XFX cards that still honors its warranties after heatsink removal?

Honestly tempted by that 7970... But I'm still on the fence about going green for the first time in years.

Because they're not retail channel cards. They've been provided to reviewers for the purpose of carrying out reviews.

Many are retail cards actually. They are however provided to reviewers for the purposes of testing and since they are not actually PLACED in the retail channel, there is no documentation of them being sold....hence, no paper trail, no warranty.

Again, that isn't to say Mr. Sky can't talk to the manufacturers if something goes bump in the night. ;)
