Hmmm....really?...I woulda thought quad with the 2 cards would work but tri with 1 x2 and a single?...hmmm...never thought of that!

I've done it, and tri-fire seems to work just as well as quadfire...the fourth card doesn't seem to get used much, if at all.


I've got EK waterblocks on mine...ahhhh...the silence!

That's my plan, rather then upgrading to the 48xx series. Also, like cadaveca said, the fourth gpu doesn't give you much more in terms of scaling. From the benchies I saw, 3 3870 gpus gives you the most scaling and performance for your cash.
