Default WTB: E8400 or reasonable 45nm Quad

Wondering what prices i can get for one of these cpus. I may be buying a new mobo and would like to get a good, overclockable processor for a reasonable price.

I'm afraid that you aren't gonna get one for cheap. Anybody who's getting rid of, say, an E8400...had probably owned it for several months(when they were $200 or more). I highly doubt that they are gonna sell it for cheaper than the "new" lowered prices that Intel just applied. Why buy one used (and abused ) for ~$150, when you can buy a new one with warranty for $170? Either way..GL

I would just buy a new 8400 or 3110, they are pretty cheap.

Funny thing is at some places they sell the E8400 more than the Q6600. You would be better off getting the quad. But thats just my opinion.

Get a E8400 on NCIX and price match it to 169.99 from DirectCanada, the best price you will get, I just bought my E8500 for 225$ Express shipped

Q6600 is a 65nm.

Not true, there isn't that much Quad Core application available, and if it used for gaming, a Dual-Core will be more than enough. For multi-tasking, the Quad core is the way.
