I bought this board a couple days ago but decided I wanted a Maximus Formula instead. So I'm going too sell this board off in order too buy the Maximus Formula that I so much desire!

Well, the formula has dual gigabyte lan. But I thought the Formula has had more overclocking features.

I had no idea that they were like the exact same lol.

there not the same board
the asus maximus formula has 3 pci-e slots not 2 as in the board pictured and the bioses have
minor differences

i just upgraded from the formula to the extreme and now im into x48 chipset
i know what i am talking about

The P5E, Maximus Formula and Rampage Formula are all the same in terms of board layout. The only difference is the Rampage/Maximus have dual gigabyte lan. But the Rampage and Maximus also have more bios features. The Formula/P5E are x38 and the Rampage Formula is a x48. All three boards however only have 2xpci-e 16 slots.

The Maximus extreme however has 3 pci-e 16 slots and is x38 as well.

I was about to reply, my maximus formula SE x-38 has 2 pci-e slots.....

LOOK OUT, SOME ONE FROM THE INTERWEBS, HE MUST KNOW WHAT HES TALKING ABOUT!!!
Actually, you do and don't, I own the Formula, and a Friend of mine owns a P5E Flashed to Rampage, only diffrence is the dual gigabyte lan ports, and yes the Bios options BUT when you can flash it to the Rampage, you "unlock" in a sense, those extra bios options, making it the same minus the dual lan.

That being Said,

P5E/Maximus Formula/Rampage = X38/X48, 2xPCIe, DDR2
Maximux Extreme = X38, 3xPCIe, DDR3

Don't mix your ram and boards up.
