Default AMD am3+ Mobo, gigabit managed PoE switch

Hello all.

My trust old Asus Crosshair is about to kick the bucket (they seem less and less reliable nowadays) and I'm not quite set to go AM4/ Ryzen. Would like to find an AM3+ board, preferably full size ATX with as many pcie x16 slots as possible, if possible. Regardless please PM what you have and we'll go from there.

Also would like to find a gigabit switch that's managed, at least an 8-port but preferably a 16-port. PoE nice-to-have

Thanks all.

I'm not super eager on Asus nowadays TBH. I'll take one if I can't get anything else, but this board has been the third one of theirs that has given me trouble. Pretty much every other brand I've used over the years (MSI, gigabyte, biostar, even ASRock and Jetway) have never had more than one failure.

Is a Netgear GS748TS too high on the overkill spectrum for what you need? :P

NOTHING is too Overkill for me haha. I still am going nuts for projects on a regular basis.

That being said, I probably couldn't afford what you'd be asking for it, but PM me the price you're thinking of for fun?

Again, trying to avoid ASUS if possible...
Does no one have, say, a UD-series gigabyte? UD5? UD7? Or MSI boards? I'm really tired of Asus customer support and quality.
