My System Specs

Default X58 LGA 1366 motherboard

Hello,

My motherboard has been dying slowly (Intermittent crashes, now it's been rebooting non-stop) and I need a replacement. As a student in programming my computer is my main work tool and with finals coming soon I need to have it working by then.

I really need a motherboard that is stable, please come to my rescue.

payment by Paypal or EMT or at the post office when it's delivered, you chose.

I can also give you 3 x 2gb Gskill ripjaws ram + money if you want (model F3-12800cl8t-6gbrm)

Thanks !

Ebay might be your best bet, or consider upgrading your whole platform. X58 motherboards (especially ones not already paired with a processor) are rarer than hens teeth these days.

I normally wouldn't say anything, but since you're counting on this for your finals you might need to make other plans.

Supply and demand. There haven't been any in the retail channels for over 3 years so folks are free to charge whatever they want.

What processor are you replacing? If it's a quad HT you could probably find a decent deal on an older 1150 i7 bundle.

You might have more luck with workstations motherboards, like for example, there are very cheap and numerous Dell T3500 motherboards all over ebay. Switching to a newer platform would also come to your rescue, if you don't need overclocking there are plenty of sub 100$ mobos out there.

Well, the T3500 says it can have a maximum of 150 watts going to the graphic card, and my gtx690 seems to want 300w.

Your GPU takes power from the PSU, you are looking at the specs of the T3500 system which in base form only comes with a 430W PSU if I remember from the ones I've owned. The board should work fine for you, however I can't recall if it is a regular ATX form factor. It may not fit perfectly. Oh, and you will have to figure out which pins would be used to power it on etc. Fan connectors are all different. No front Panel USB/Audio either. It is all proprietary Dell connectors.

it is regular ATX. I had one and 3.0charlie helped to mount a CM212 on it, I remember it posted right away with a W3502 I think. It even powered up by itself, must have had power on after loss of power set up in bios.

Yea that makes sense. The stock PSU's don't have power switches on the back, so maybe it is some kind of reboot setting thing. Either way they are great boards for the price, shame they don't OC though haha.
