Dancing_Banana to give away 2P Opteron setup. Found new home

Before or after the CC i want to give away my 2P folder platform, to a HWC forum folder. It works fine but is a bit of a power hog, the Opteron 2419 hexacore CPUs are not the EE versions.
So this will be given for free in Montreal area to a HWC forum member fellow folder or a new fellow folder under the HWC forum banner. I cannot think of a better incentive than a free platform!
Some quirks though : sata ports are not functioning, they will appear in windows but will not recognize any attached drives. PATA port works fine, so you can attach an old HDD and you are done.
So you have 12 cores @1.8GHz and 6 GB of DDR2 667 ECC RAM. The mobo can take up to 128GB if I am not mistaken. Mobo is Supermicro H8DM2.
For HDD I was having the Asus U3S6 as add in card which already functions in AHCI mode on SATA III, so SSDs were working at full speed.
There is an integrated ATI video chip onboard which works but the drivers for Win7 lack control of brightness. Me I was working with a GT430 attached on an 1x to 16x extender.
Back USB ports on the rear I/O panel are dead, I will give you (for free) 2 USB headers that will give you 4 working USB ports.
Board requires a 24 pin power connector and a supplementary 8 pin. If you PSU does not have that I can give you (for free) a 4pin to 8pin adapter.
Board has no audio on it, me I was functioning with a USB sound card that you can get very cheap.
If you have questions PM me and I will answer gladly ASAP.
I was installing Win7 from a USB stick, if you want me to make you one, give me one. If you need help to install Win and setup the F@H control panel with username and all that I will make the effort and come to set it up at your place! That is why the give away is in Montreal area and surroundings only!
Note : I would also give the setup away to somebody in Montreal area just to have it as a regular machine not just for folding! it makes good HTPC duty and plays every file format with ease, is just not a great gamer, it requires a middle or high end graphics card for that (GTS 450 and above, and you lower some settings and resolution). If you (or one of your friends) live further away please arrange for transportation!

Cool Mars! I'm fairly certain you could just put your videocard into the x8 PCIe slot, and not have to use the cable/adapter. I think the back of that 8x slot is cut open so that any larger card should fit in it and work.

I'm local, and I would be interested in this for my brother, he's been wanting a gaming PC for a while. However, I'm not going to call dibs or anything, since I think the more noble thing to do is fold with it. So, I'll simply throw my hat in the ring in case you don't find anyone who wants it for a folding machine. Let me know! :)
