My System Specs

Default WTB HD2600 or 3650 512MB AGP

Hi All!

I'm thinking about throwing together some old parts into an HTPC, but I still need a GPU.

The only trick is that I have an older mobo, and it needs to be AGP. I'm not even sure if the 3650 comes in AGP, but if it does, I'm interested in it, or either the XT or Pro version of the HD2600

This isn't a main rig, so I'm trying to keep the build quite cheap. I'm thinking maybe $30-40 for the card.

PM me with any offers, if you have one of those cards lying around.

I'm sorry, but you wont find one for that price. Or it is highly unlikely. Best to check ebay or our Buy/Sell section, maybe find a used 9800 agp or similar for that price.

You're probably right, but I figured that there might be a chance that someone would be upgrading to a pci-e system and looking to get rid of an old AGP card.

I'm kinda trying to talk myself out of upgrading my main system from a socket 939 Opty 165 and a 7900GS to a C2D system and an 8800GT--the old system could then become my HTPC, and I could always upgrade the 7900GS to a more media capable card when I get an LCD TV (which probably won't be for a while)

Anyway, if I could get a hold of a cheap, but capable AGP card I could just use the old mobo and a 3200+ that I have laying around to put it all together. Net cost, damned little, which is closer to what I can afford just now. The only AGP card I have right now is a 5500, I think

I figured it was worth a try, anyway.
