Ya, traded it for a Sapphire 5870. It's not quite as powerful, but it's a DX11 card, and it'll work great in my son's rig, so I'm very happy right now. Waay better than a 6750 like I originally wanted to trade for :)

I'm actually excited because I've never had an nVidia card before. Except for the GT6600 I put in a rig for my mom back in 06 the thing (EVGA) is still rocking her AMD system. But that doesn't count.

So I am looking forward to reinstalling some of my old Physx games and checking that out. lets see, Batman Arkham Asylum, UT3, Mirrors Edge and a few others. I'm not sure, I'll have to look into what games support Physx.

I think you'll be happy. This card is at least as powerful as your 5870, and in reality probably a little more so. The only drawback is that it doesn't support DX11.

Anyways, according to geforce.com you can run the latest drivers (310.70). Just make sure you enable SLI in the 3D settings tab, and leave PhysX at Auto. It'll probably assign it to one of the cores.

Sounds good! At least I can still play my BF3 until I upgrade to a newer system. Might keep the GTX295 in my current system for my wife and get a GTX285 for physx. I think your right about having a GPU sitting there looking pretty. DX 11 support I can wait for. Truth be told DX 9 can be made to look just about as good and run faster in some cases. Lack of tessellation though.

Just pulled my compressor out of the shed. Waiting for it to warm up so I can blow the dust out of the card and pack it up. Man, that snow was deeper than it looked. And the distance to the shed was longer than it looked. Should have worn boots. heh.

I cleaned out the 295 a month ago, and it hasn't seen significant use since then. Anyways, it's all packed up in a shipping box, I'm just waiting for lunch to come around and I'll run out to the post office and ship it off Xpresspost and send you a tracking number.

You may want to pull the cooler off this card. Very hard to clean it. Did blow it out with the compressor though. Not much came out. Anyway, it's sent. Should be there tomorrow.

Okay. I'll probably pull the cooler off and replace the TIM anyways...I usually do that with any used card, so I'll thoroughly clean the heatsink, too.

You both seem like some happy traders. Hopefully the cards work out as you both want (you seem to have both swapped for your preferred feature set). Enjoy.
