The board should support both. The difference between the 200 and 800 series is the number of HT links, 800s are for 4 way processing. As far as I know the extra links are simply ignored when in a dual socket board.

Let me see if I can dig on 2CPU for some info.

On 2CPU I see lots of people running 800 series chips in their board. Like I said the chips operate the same, just more HT links.
