Just a reminder that here as well as anywhere else, you should view these items as BUYER BEWARE.
If an item up for sale is too good to be true, make sure you get some personal information from the seller like name, address and phone number before transferring any money. Check to see if they have feedback elsewhere like Heatware or Ebay. If a seller doesn't want to give you this information, back away from the sale. If someone states they are "desperate for money", be very cautious about giving them your hard earned cash.
While Hardware Canucks staff do their best to limit access here to active forum members, occasionally a bad apple slips through. We are unable to assist with "trades gone wrong" by providing ANY information given to Hardware Canucks in confidence including a member's personal information and/or IP address. We will comply with any official court order or police investigation.
Good advice SugarJ.
What did I miss with this super sale? (I assume the thread was removed)
If you're ever wary of a seller, you could always pay via Paypal and use a credit card for payment, so you have two avenues to get your money back if a trade goes badly.
I'm locking this thread, as this was meant to be a general warning to all and not a complaint spot about the one individual.
