Please note before you buy that this is the case that is being sold. The internals are included but the machine is fried so the only guarantee you will have is the case.

This item weighs approximately 40lbs and is shipping from Pacific Canada

I had an iMac:

* 500MHz G3
* 40GB Maxtor Hard Drive
* Matshita CD-RW Drive
* 384MB RAM

That broke down due to some major PSU/logic board/video board failure. The machine won't boot anymore, but I am selling the iMac G3 Indigo case, which is in mint condition. The case is a new later generation slot loader model.

All the internal components are included, but they are mostly fried (I think). I'll also throw in the original iMac Restore CD set if you want it. Payment is accepted through PayPal, no returns or refunds. I can ship internationally but buyer has to pay for shipping.

If I am satisfied, the best offer will be accepted.

I know it is frowned upon to post in for sale threads if you have no intention of buying but I just want to say a quick word that could potentially raise the level of interest in this item.
If it is just the seemingly extremely common PAV board failure then the mobo and other guts *should* be fine. It is possible to remove the mobo, wire it up to an ATX PSU and mount it in an ATX/AT/etc case and use an external display with it. One can also mount an LCD and ATX PSU in the original case if you remove the CRT and PAV board.
Either way you will need to do a bit if surgery but there are plenty of guides on this topic. (Be sure not to confuse a tray loading iMac with a slot loading iMac, they are extremely different on the inside.)

By the way, if someone does buy this and is handy with a soldering iron think you could see how far the CPU will overclock?

Well the problem I was experiencing was:

One day after a power surge the machine shut down and wouldn't boot. You hold the power button for a few seconds and a nasty zapping sound comes.

If there are no offers or if the offers are too low then I will try and fix it :)
