i say go for the latest agp they have out and also it would make good use of coreavc. but in some cases, depending on the file played, nothing helps a system with an older proc.

(not) a bump

I have a 6600GT and a 7800GS - both have Nvidia Purevideo hardware acceleration (H.264 and MPEG2 Decode) and should be able to handle HD video playback. We could work something out whereby I send em out for you to test - if one works for ya we work out a price, if not you send em back (although shipping costs might be prohibitive). Let me know what you think.

Edit: I suppose I could toss together an old socket A system and test it here - what HD are we talking about? 720p?
