My System Specs

Default XFX 5850 Black Edit. + Twin Turbo Cooler
Well there's been some changes in how my multimedia system is going to be setup (get in to that mess later) so in the mean time my current system is going to remain my primary. As such, I've decided to look in to a 5970 for it.

So now I'm selling my XFX 5850 Black Edition. It's a ref design card, purchased a few months back. I am the only owner, and the XFX warranty is fully transferable. The card has spent it's life running the stock (factory OC'd) clocks of the BE. I have the original box and all accessories to go with.

I've also recently added a Twin Turbo cooler, and the temps this thing gives is amazing! (36 idle, 53 load - see pics) And it's VERY quiet. Since I've had to slightly mod the cooler to make it fit the 5850, I will be selling this as a package deal ONLY. Stock heat sink will be included. You can see the mod in the pics below, just had to cut and bend a few fins in one corner. Does not effect cooler performance.

Temps Idle:
A bit tough to see unless I make the photo huge, but that's 36 degrees at 21% fan speed (super quiet)




Temps under Load:
Ran Heaven 2.1 benchmark for 5 minutes. 53-56 degrees with fan @ 25%. Still extremely quiet. Amazing cooler!

very nice. so basically the tt at 25% netted you below 60c temps?

Yep. Great cooler. I'll be buying it's big brother, the 'extreme', for the 5970 for sure.
