My System Specs

Default PCI Video card.

Looking for a PCI video card, have about a $25-30 budget shipped.
Looking for a geforce 5 series and up, or radeon 9 series and up.
Located in the lower mainland. /waits for laughter for still using PCI.

Depending on where you live, you might consider checking out any local charities that accept used computers. Some of them recycle/break down the donated computers and sell the usable parts for fund-raising, and it's amazing what you can find there for a few bucks.

But yeah, just do your research before going this route, as you not only have overall performance to think of, but many old GPU's don't even support modern shader models (i.e. DX9) and may simply not be capable of running whatever game you want, irregardless of processing power.

you should save up your monies for a new computer. ~300 should be enough. Hell, (GVR) HTPC Bundle & Gigabyte 770T-UD3P the onboard X1250 might be able to play CSS.

I have a PCI Radeon 9250... FYI it's NOT DX9 ;) I've tried playing CSS on it and it feels like...<blank>load of lag and horrible quality pictures.
