- 3x Visiontek HD3870 Video cards, With EK Full Coverage Copper/Acetal Waterblocks attached.
- Various Fittings to assist in mounting triple-crossfire system in single chassis. (2 types - all spacings possible)
- I have the original coolers for the 3870's, they are not pictured, but none of them were ever used.
- One of the 3870's has a volt-mod. I stopped using it because 2 of my original cards had short lives, and were warrantied by Visiontek. The volt-mod still works I am sure, but be warned, it definitely shortens the lifespan of the product.
- The 3870 that is volt-modded is from the 3870 release. The others are warranty replacements from Visiontek and are only 6 months old. They have never been volt-modded, the EK blocks are the only change.
- One of the 6-month old cards had some water spill on it that I didn't notice for about a week. Many of the components on the back suffered some corrosion, and there is even a slight scorch mark. Amazingly it still works fine, but obviously it has seen better days. Just want to be honest about its condition, pictures should show it well.
- The EK blocks have been in use since the 3870 release (whenever that was). They have been taken apart, cleaned out very well, and put back together once. There was some tarnishing of the copper inside, I cleaned them very well but not to the point of looking brand new. Since then they have been used for about 8 months - so I would bet they would be ready for another good cleaning.
- The cards scored me 20,500 in 3DM06, with a Phenom 955 @ 4Ghz. Performance is really great up to about 1080p. Any more resolution than that and you start to run short of Vram since each card has 512mb. I replaced this setup with a single HD5850, the performance is about the same until you go above 1080p. The new card obviously takes less power and makes less heat, which is what drove me to upgrade.
