My System Specs

Default Phase Change

Setting my sights on a Phase Change unit,

Looking for either of the two popular models.

Prometeia Mach II GT
and the
Cooler Express 2009

Sadly the Prometeia has been discontinued so it's become rare. Cooler express just seems to always be out of stock.

I looked at the OCZ Cryo-Z. Cheap price CHEAP ratings. Bloody thing is only meant for a max load of 120W. Just Sad.

That isn't right. It will handle way more than that. It won't hold a 300W 24/7. But if you are just looking for something for some benching it won't be too bad of a unit.

I highly recommend considering a custom unit over a retail unit. I just got mine and it's great, thread here if you want to take a look:

Rotary phase cooler by ruffus

My holds 300w at -30, a retail unit would be above zero at that kind of load.

I thought the same, but I looked into the specs and that's what it's listed at. Check the website and see for yourself. It only says max stable load of 120W, but I found other information on a view reviews suggesting a major draw back. Sadly I can't be certain of how bad it is without trying it myself.

That custom unit looks real nice. BIG!! but nice. Can you PM a price to me?

Prices will vary depending on what you want for parts and what you are looking for load-wise. I suggest you just PM ruffus with an idea of what you would like and he can provide a quote. He can make anything from a basic budget unit to a cascade system and he can make it look however you want it to.
