What games do you want to play with that ? At what resolution ? In what system will it be ?
I hope its nothing too hard, because by the looks of it, the only thing you can do with that much is to downgrade your GTX 260.

you can get a 9600gso for 50 bucks. its not too powerfull. next step up would be an 8/9-800gt, or 8800gts/9800gtx

It's for a friend. Thanks for lookin' out for me because of the post count.

Needs to play TF2 on medium-highish settings @ 1280x1024, no AA.

9600gt, 4650, 4670, 9600gso type of card would be great.

ATI 4670 are the way to go. Performs better than the 9600GT. However it may be a tad over your friend's budget of $50.
