OK, I find myself quite short on cash. Time to liquidate some assets. Please read all descriptions closely.




1.Palit HD4870 512MB. Again, OEM, not sure if Palit even has a warranty that is worth pursuing. Card has issues. Cold boot usually artifacts starting in BIOS. If I reset the PC 2-3 times it will snap out of it and work perfect until put to sleep or cold boot. It has run like this since I have had it for the last 4-5 months. Has not gotten better or worse. I have not tried anything to fix it, never cared since it worked fine after warm up. $50 + shipping. No warranty is implied or expressed on this card. Would make a killer X-Fire slave card since they don't output video anyways and I have run X-Fire this way with HD4830's and HD4870's where one card had major video out issues and it caused no problems in games or 3D.

Yes, I have tried different systems with different power supplies as well. I believe it is a fault with one of the memory chips. Again, the card works fine after a couple resets in BIOS. It doesn't need to fully warm to operating temperature to work properly. This could even be a video BIOS issue since I have had cards do this. I guess I am going to flash it myself and see what happens. I do know that if this fixes it the price does go up dramatically, lol.
