Offer the 4890 for sale, and take the cash for a 260? I can't tell you why the 260 is still so priced so high at retail. That's a puzzler for sure.

My System Specs

I have 2 EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 Superclocked, stock coolers with MX-2. Runs cool and quiet by default, fan @ 40%. Warranty still good.

I may trade one for your 4890, how old is it? Mine were purchased in March this year.

Got fed up and grabbed an accelero S1 for twenty bucks. Dead silent now :) But had to clock it down a little, else overheats and shuts down :( Still runs everything maxed @ 1920x1200 though :D

you better have some fans coolin them memory chips + vrm or you gonna have trouble

you should use a fan with the accelero works a million times better ( zip ties work great )

try putting ypur finger on vrm heatsink you will get burned

Not meant to hijack the thread, but can you tell me where did u get Accelero S1 for twenty buck? I am also looking for one.

i had bought 2 for 18$ each
i moded one for nb cooling you can have it for free
i busted 1 heatpipe
