I'd say if noise matters, get the MCP655. On speed 1, it's literally quieter than my case fans.

However, speed 4 isn't so bad either. It just has a low hum + some high pitched noise (kinda like the mosquito buzz). That being said, it's still very quiet.

Difference between speed 1 and speed 4 for me is around 1-3C. I'd rather sacrifice that for less noise.

If you don't mind the low hum, you might want to look for a MCP355/350. Great pumps I hear, even better than the MCP655 when there's more restriction. That being said, make sure you get a top, I'd say the XSPC Res top cause it's damn cheap ($30 new?)

Whatever you choose, I hope you like it.

I believe your loop tubing and barbs are 3/8s Dave, and the 655 has fixed 1/2" barbs... unless you change the top to allow other barbs...

edit: looking at your pics in the other thread, I'm not sure anymore if they are 3/8s or 1/2 barbs...

I think Vortex doesn't swing the 3/8" way.

May I interrupt please.. Kruz still has his EK Top for the MCP655 for sale.. Lots more goodies for sale! Price drops!!!

For $25 you can't go wrong, it increases flow, better temps, and you can install 3/8" barbs too..
