From the announcement:

"Threads are usually approved/declined within 24hrs."

The moderators are all volunteers and have day jobs, too. We check them as soon as we can.

Edit: If you have posted a thread in the BST and it's been more than 24 hours, you can assume something is wrong with it. Either you don't have 25 posts, or it doesn't comply to the rules. If it's missing a picture or something simple, we'll send you a PM to fix it.

Sounds reasonable. The last few I posted were looked at in a matter of seconds so I guess I got spoiled :)

Yes, you need 25 posts for WTB, FS, and/or WTT. That doesn't prevent you from PMing a member who's got what you're looking for listed for sale.

I have been a member for a while now, since February 2010. I mostly lurk but I do occasionally post. My post count in my profile shows 16, but if you do a search for all of my posts it shows 25 (now 26).

Why is there a discrepancy in the post count number?

Would I be able to post in this forum?

Thank you,
Larry.

Thank you for the information.

I guess I will need to start contributing meaningful post to other areas before I can start selling my stuff.

Larry.

Not!!!! ;)

The key is meaningful, and I can't speak for the other mods, but I personally take into account how long a member has been with us when judging whether or not several posts in a row constitutes buy/sell spam, but pretty well any amount over 5 posts in a row sets off alarm bells. :)

Hmmm,
I have been a member here for over 2 years.
I have done a lot of buying from members here over that time and I have (or I guess had perfect iTrader)
I have perfect Heatware: Heatware Feedback: 47-0-0
and iTrader at RFD: RedFlagDeals Feedback: 92-0-0
I now would like to post a for sale thread, would it be possible to get an exemption on the 25 post rule?
I am an old geezer now with a 2 year old in the apartment and my free time is very much at a premium.
Thanks for any help that can be given.
