I've got an Asus board pulled from a Compaq. It has everything you list, but I don't know how appealing a proprietary board like that seems

Thanks, I need all the luck I can get. I don't have the cash to throw at a nice system at this point in time. I am hoping this budget build can hold me off until I find a job.

I have a Gateway BTX board that I can't use because of the ATX cooler for the Athlon X2.

As long as I can fit the cooler over the CPU, I am a happy man.

Do you happen to know the model?
