You haven't even picked up the Silencer from the post office, and you're upgrading?

I'd rather be safe than sorry, and have a back-up plan... though I will definitely try your 750W.

I assume that in this scenario, each card needs two PCI-E plugs?

Ah well. My Ultra X3 hasn't been doing anything lately, and I'd have no trouble letting it go, but it's only got 4 PCI-E plugs.

Set up the 3rd card with Molex adaptors? I don't know much about PSUs and rails.

Methinks you will be fine, it looks to be a single 70A rail:

I wouldn't mind setting it up using the Molex adaptors for the 3rd card - can you confirm that it would work MpG?

That's the faceplate right there. The four 6-pin connectors hold one PCI-E connector each - its got four 6-pin cables and two 8-pin cables that can connect to those. Beyond that, the two 5-pin connectors are for SATA, and it's got one triple string, and one double, so you can power five SATA devices that way.

Beyond that, you've got six four-pin connectors to divide between molex power and any further SATA devices (that don't need any 3.3V, naturally). There are six cables with molex connectors on them (one single, but the rest are double and triple strings). So as long as you didn't have a huge array of other devices that all needed power, I wouldn't see any trouble running the fifth and sixth PCI-E plugs off one plug each, via adaptors.

Aside from it being a little in-elegant and some extra cable length to contend with, I personally don't see a problem with it. These PSU's are well-documented as strong units, so 24/7 folding (which I assume will be happening) wouldn't be an issue. Your call - if you think you want to look at this further, feel free to PM me.
