A Snowball's Chance in Hell: LF: Alpha PAL153 1U CPU Cooler
As the title states, I'm looking for an Alpha PAL153 1U CPU cooler, which was designed for the Socket 370 and Socket A.
This is definitely a one in a million deal, but I figured I'd try!
Failing that, an Alpha PAL6035 might do as well.
So if anyone has one tucked away in a dark closet or a dusty shelf, PM me! :thumb:
Why do you need a 1U socket 370/A cpu cooler? Any particular reason for such a specific choice?
For some weird reason I've decided to put back together the first system I ever built, which was an SMP system. I still have one of the PAL153's, but I seem to have lost the other.
Once/if the system is rebuilt it's going into long-term storage. I figure it will be an experience to power it up again in 10-15 years :haha:
Mac, I can't find A working Picture of one. But what kind of system would this have resided in.
Perhaps I can be your snowball because my work has about 100 systems tucked away that have been EOL for YEARS...
Find me a Picture if you can, and I'll dig every last one at work, I promise.
It was first introduced as the PAL15, and it was designed to cool socket 370 Pentium 3's and Celeron's, but also Socket A/462 Athlon's.
Do you think there are any double-sided 256MB PC100/PC133 modules in those systems? I'm looking for three identical sticks of those as well
Thanks for your assistance :thumb:
Does it have to be that particular one or will and 1U 370/A cooler work?
I know I can find S370 1U heatsinks on eBay, but I'm looking for the original parts, kind of like when rebuilding a classic car :haha:
Ill try to look around MAC I think I saw something hanging around lol
A bump over here...
