Default Toshiba X300-01G Laptop with 5 year Full Coverage Warranty - *SOLD*

*SOLD*
That's right, I'm gonna sell my brand spankin new gaming laptop. It's an incredible powerhorse; but it has 2 huge problems for me: First, it's larger than I anticipated. I new if was going to be a larger than average notebook, but having it in hand showed me just how much larger. And secondly, it's too flashy to use for work. I figured it wouldn't draw too much attention, but it certainly gets noticed. So now I'm likely going to replace it with a Lenovo tablet PC so my work's happy. (I'd keep it and buy the Lenovo as well, but I really don't need 2 laptops)

I haven't had a chance to run 3DMark on it, but I did install Fallout 3 on it to get a feel for what it can do. Maxed out settings on 1680x1050 with AA on and it doesn't even think about breaking a sweat (I'll leave it installed)

The retail price for the Laptop is $2200 + Tax. The retail for the warranty is $550 + Tax. (Totals over $3000) I got a corporate discount, and paid a total of $2600 for the package. (I have the receipt and paperwork) I'm selling for $2,275 In an effort to turn it over relatively fast since I don't want a laptop sitting around not being used and dropping in value.

Anyway, here's the specs:
17.1 laptop with WSXGA+ TFT with TruBrite monitor
P8600 Intel Core 2 Duo processor
4 Gigs (Upgradable to 8) of DDR3 1066MHz RAM
DUAL NVidia GeForce 9800M GTS 512 MB Video cards in SLI
Fully licensed copy of Vista Home Premium 64-bit
Built in Harman Kardan 5 speaker sound including a subwoofer built in
500Gb of HDD space over 2x250Gb HDD's

It also comes with all the standards: Dual layer DVD+/-RW multi drive, Full -n compatible wireless and hardline networking, bluetooth, full size keyboard and full size number pad, USB 2.0 AND eSATA ports, Direct HDMI output, Toshiba face recognition security software, etc.

Drop me a PM if you're interested
(Sorry about the fingerprints... flash is ridiculously bright)

*Price drop of $300 on this laptop down to $1,995! See post later in this thread for explanation...*

Thats a smoking deal, I'd probably make you an offer if it didn't have a that **** international keyboard with the mini shift key.

Good luck with the sale.

Wow you are really going from one extreme to the other aren't you. Lenovo's are are well built machines that look very unimpressive, that is for sure, but as far as going from SLI 9800M GTS to X4500... yikes! There is a happy medium. Why not an Asus N50 or a Dell XSP 1640. Something that will let you play games and keep work happy with its modest styling.

GL with the sale.

Basically, I don't want to get a gaming laptop that's half-a$$. I don't want to play WoW on a laptop, but have to switch to my desktop for real games. I may as well just stick with a desktop for all gaming. My thoughts with a Lenovo was to have a tablet PC to increase it's functionality. At least then I could use it for a modeling rig. (Although it wouldn't handle animation all that well)
Although, I may just dump the thought of an excessive laptop altogether and get a very basic laptop for work only, then go for a whole new gaming rig.

Oh oh oh... why didn't I think of this before... A Sager or Clevo! Dude you obviously have the funds for it, you could trick out a M860TU or similar and run anything on it as good as that X300. AND it looks like a very no nonsense machine. Perfect for doing business.

I get corporate discounts on Toshiba, Lenovo, HP and Dell... that's why I was looking at those machines in particular. I'm all about saving money. =P I could also go with a gaming Asus since they're a little more subtle, but; 'Wise man say, forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza."

*edit* Plus, now my wife's got it in her head that we could buy a new TV if I go with a more basic laptop.
