bump!

It would seem that I have been generating interest but none of which are local.

If an experienced shipper out there can school me in the process then I may consider that as an option. What I really need to know is, approximate shipping costs, how to package safely to keep costs low, which carrier to use and how payment is usually handled.

They also prefer to lowball most people, not a fan of RFD. I'd be all over this if I had the cash.

As for shipping:

Carrier: Canada Post

Always insure the item shipped for the retail value including taxes.

Standard Shipping Cost + insurance: $15.00 and up (Nationally)
Expedited Shipping Cost + insurance: $25.00 and up (Nationally)

Packaging: Any box that will fit the motherboard and pack with newspaper to prevent any movement during shipment, a suitable box can be purchased at a local Canada post. However, any LCBO, NoFrills or Food basics will have it for free just choose what you thinks is best or fits.

Perfect example here: Packing and Shipping How to

Payment: Do not ship unless you recieved payment and expedite shipping within 24 hrs of payment. As soon as the item is shipped private message or e-mail the individual the tracking number. If you can't reasonably expedite shipping the day you recieve payment I highly suggest waiting until you can. These are just the rules I follow but as you trade more you'll learn that communication and prompt shipping is key to being a good trader.

Faster Sales: Offering free shipping is obvious, however in todays market I think it fair to say that paying 50% of shipping cost is more than enough, especially on things like cases or monitors.

I also suggest you setup a [ HEATWARE.com ] account so you develope a positive trade reputation and the individual you trade with will provide feedback, as will you.

For example: [ HEATWARE.com ]

Regards and good luck with your sale

Thanks for taking the time and effort Eagle Eye. That was really helpful along with the advice on signing up with Venture One from Domino.

Really helpful people on this board!

I will also take a picture of the actual board due to a request from a member.

As for shipping, I'll give it a try. I just hope it doesn't cost too much. I'll update the price in the first post of this thread.
