Default Thread crapping clean-up, explained...

Ok folks.....

Here's the statement:

If you don't like the asked price, bite your tongue and don't buy the item. If you think the OP is being unrealistic, drop him/her a polite PM pointing out the error of his/her ways, but do not under any circumstances post anything about pricing. This is will be the one and only warning from here on in... from this point forward temporary bans will be handed out for this kind of behaviour.

For those who commented on the thread crapping... please just report the post (exclaimation point icon upper right of any reply) and a Mod will deal with it. Don't make the situation any worse than it already is.

No need to point out how good the seller is; that's what Heatware and eBay feedbacks are for.

Thanks.

Well said, that's how it should be IMO. Heatware is there for that ;)

Actually, everything can be kept through PMs... so...

I don't believe in a zero tolerance policy with this.

Doesn't matter what site your on thread crapping in threads is going to be inevitable regardless. What you need is more people dedicated to ONLY the Buy and Sell areas to keep an eye out for these threads and policy them.

Rules are already implemented that people are to check the pricing of their stuff against recent pricing. Now I know understand that there is older stuff that is hard to put a price on but still plenty of ways to get around this as well. It comes down to people being lazy and not wanting to do their home work or people being lazy for not reading the rules.

So I think more policing needs to go into watching for these threads and if they are spotted perhaps people can be recommended to report these threads so mods can come in and make recommendations.

I don't agree with this rule ...

I consider people's opinions and feedback as important.

It is nowhere written that a zero telorance policy will be applied; replies about an item's pricing are the ones targeted. And yes Mods will keep a close eye on the FS/FT sub-section. It has already started.

Common sense folks.

@Yamawho: I knew this comment would eventually come; for a first-time seller, comments as such will be tolerated and understood. But if the seller has a Heatware account and eBay feedback, then those evaluations should be prime over any comments made in the thread.

@Squee: yes, you can start PM crapping.

So commenting on a persons thread to help bumb it up is thread crapping? lol If so then why did my post get deleted last night. New mod power hungry much or what? heheh Regardless may or may not be the case it doesn't really matter but commenting on a persons item ect isn't thread crapping. Sayiong Oh I found it here cheaper ect then yeah that shit should be through PMs.

Also Banning for that reason is imo childish. Were all adults here & know if were breaking a rule. Banning for that is so grade 3. Sorry if that offends anyone it's just how I feel about banning for however long as a slap on the wrist.

The thing with Heatware is that most don't dare post a negative, since they don't want the same thing to happen to them.

I know of several deals gone bad and it never gets posted ...

Although I am fairly new to the Heatware scene I caught on to this fairly quick.

As usual buyers and sellers are at risk, it's up to you if you are willing to participate.

Just my 2 cents ...

That's part of buying from a member you don't know - trust should be there. If not, then don't buy the item. Heatware is a great tool, and like eBay you should not be afraid to leave a negative comment. If you ever receive one, an explanation can be added.

Then it's up to the potential buyers to decide whether or not you as a seller can be trusted.

@sniper, PM sent.
