Default LF: 850W and greater Power supply
A good 750W should do well also...

As the title states, cheaper the better as this is for my extra folding rig

Must also have power connector for 3 cards. 6 and 8 pin.

1 9800GT and 2x 8800Gt's.

But want the potential for 2x 9800GX2's.
and an E8400 or some sort.
All of them overclocked.

Think i could do with less?

I'd say your about right for the number but it needs to be quality....something like the PC P&C 750W silencer should do ok...might want an antec quatro 850w...
