LoL!
Sure did! Right now, I'm kinda lean because I'm reconfiguring everything. So I only have a few of my GPUs actually folding at the moment. But once all my servers and machines are back up, I will have...

3 x 8800GTS 512
3 x 8800GS
2 x 9600GSO
2 x 9800GT
2 x 8800GT
1 x 8600GT
1 x 9800GX2
1 x HD2600 Pro

...and I'm looking to snag myself one more 9800GX2 in the near term so that I can run Quad SLI on my gaming rig. After that, I will be left with 6 unpopulated PCIe slots, which I will slowly but surely fill up depending on what's available at a good price. No rush on that though, so once I source another 9800GX2 I will consider myself "done" for the timebeing.

haha very nice!
Im just starting and am planning to build my first folding only rig.
It will have a 680i board along with a 9800GT and 2 x 8800GT's.
Running one of the cards on the 8X PCI-E lane should be fine right?

Noob to this :)

How much PPD are you getting with all that?

Im trying to snag up a cheap 9800GX2 from somewhere
And im dumping it all in my girlfriends house since her electricity is included in her rent

Yeah no problems there. I actually ran a little test over the weekend with the DFI UT P35-T2R I just bought off of S_G with an 8800GS card (at stock). The board has three slots - one at 16x, one at 4x and one at 1x. With the same WU, I did 20% in each slot, and the 8800GS got the exact same PPD in the 4x slot as it did in the 16x slot, and it lost only about 10% off its PPD in the 1x slot. So anything 4x and above will get you the same results, and even a 1x bus is usable for folding purposes.

I really have no idea what kind of PPD I will get out of everything once it's all going full-blower. I'm pretty excited to find out though! I'm still waiting on a few items, but I hope to have my server room back to 100% by the end of November.

I plan to get a simple E2160 for folding those 3 cards, do you think it will hold up? or will it bottleneck them?

My single GPU2 client on a 9800GT is already using 50% of an E8400 when running...

CPU has little to no impact on performance with nvidia's core. ATI's core is a completely different ball of wax, as it uses the CPU quite extensively.

I had at one point two 9800GT's and an 8800GT all running off a single core Celeron 440 at the same PPD they would have had if they were given their own cores on something faster. I think I remember reading that the rule of thumb is 4 nv GPU clients per core before you start seeing a significant slow-down in PPD.

So yeah - you could put all three cards on one of the e2160's cores, and still fold with the CPU uniproc client on the other core if you were so inclined.
