Default WTB: Decent Video Card around the $50.00 range

Hey guys,

I just completed a small build with some of the parts I had lying around. However, I don't have a video card. I am currently looking for a decent card on the cheap that I can throw in this thing. The computer will only be used for surfing and office applications so I'm not looking for anything too spectacular. Just thought I'd throw it out there in case someone has something that is collecting dust. I'm willing to spend $50.00 (plus shipping).

Let me know what you have and what you are asking...thanks!

Squeetard,

Thanks for the tip. I posted here as I am a big fan of recycling old equipment. I hate decent hardware going to waste. Also, I wanted to contribute to the forum here and maybe help someone else out with their next purchase. However, I did find a card or two that caught my eye in the link that you provided...thanks. ;)

Gunner86,
I PM'ed you...thanks.

By the way...I am looking for a PCI-E card and have both AGP and PCI-E slots on my MB. Thanks...

Sounds like one of those 4CoreDual-SATA2 R2.0 motherboard. Your PCI-E slot may only run at 4x as opposed to 16x.

I just want to make sure you are absolutely certain about this. There are very, very few mobos that have both PCIe and AGP slots - like only one or two. Please make sure you are not confusing PCIe with PCI, as a PCIe card will not fit in a PCI slot.

Dead Things,

Thanks for double checking but yes I do have both slots. I bought a crappy ASROCK a few months ago to pair with a E2180. Kind of kicking myself now as I would love to overclock the CPU but have no luck pushing it past 2.2 GHZ...ah well, live and learn. This is the board that I have:

ASRock 4COREDUAL-SATA2 ATX LGA775 PT800

Thanks for the input though...
