WTB: dell d830 or similar

anyone have one? My d610 just suddenly stopped working, the screen was getting fractal lines too, but that didnt bother me. D830 is exactly what I need, but I'm tryint to go a bit cheaper than 1200$ I would also like to get the P9500 instead of T9500 as it is a bit more powerful and consumes less energy (longer battery life), but it is only available on the E6500 models, but that model doesn't come with trackpoint.

Or are there some other brands i should check out? The lenovos are nice but their keyboards have a longer keystroke. I program all day and can't stand it (I have a T61 at home).

tl;dr : need laptop with trackpoint and with a keyboard that has short strokes
