razer ac1 no surround sound

hello,, i just got a new computer and i put in a razer ac 1
i get sound
but the problem is it only comes out the front channels, all the sound


the motherboard is an asus p5q pro
i have the onboard sound disabled

Check that you have the correct speaker configuration set(5.1). I think you can acess it by right clicking on the little speaker in the task bar.

Oh cool, man lots of options eh?
make sure you got it set 5.1 or 7.1 up top and to the right of the configuration.
Mine installed default to 2 speakers.

but i uninstalled it and installed it a few times and it jus worked suddenly,

good! Mine played games and movies very well, but when it came to CD's it was bad, no, BAD!
it took alot of fiddling with the equalizer to get it right, so I have a custom setting for that now.

Don't forget unless your watching a movie or its encoded in surround with 5.1 all you'll get is 2.1 anyways with the other speakers being used as a type of simulated surround.
