Hey all, I want to know how good this omega strike card is? http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=22973&vpn=STRIKER%5F7%2E1&manufactur e=HT%20Omega[/URL]
I just ordered it and want to make sure its a good sound card before its to late to cancel. I ordered this one cause it had Coaxle out which is what this surround sound system I have in my closet has and looks like a good item
Its use will be
80% Gaming
20% Music & Movies
I don't have any experience with the Strike so I don't know about its sound quality, but I have the HT Omega Claro and I can say that HT Omega provides amazing support and their drivers WORK. I previously had a Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio and Xtreme Music. The drivers for this are a much better layout, and I've had no problem with them (Vista x64, XP 32 and XP 64).

That card. That's actually why I bought it, so to be able to pass thorugh DVD sounds to my amp. After that I went X-Fi, had driver issues, and now have Xonar D2X, both of which are a bit more than waht you are looking to spend, but I'd recommend holding out until you could afford prelude, usually on sale @ ncix for like 139, or something along those lines.
I decided to hold out on ordering some WC parts untill next month and bought myself the Prelude instead. The alchemy program offers support for my old games I play like WoW and guild wars and new games like COD4 already support surround sound apperently.
ht omega striker is a great card for gaming and works very well but due to its age and the fact better cards are out like the Xonar.. I'd say go for that one.
I picked the Prelude over the Xonar because of price. NCIX had the prelude on sale for $145+$20 MIR and $5 shipping, even before the MIR it was like $30 cheaper than the Xonar.
