Yes ASUS has PCI versions of the Xonar but they are much more money then the Xonar DX. There is also that new D1 that was posted. The PRelude may be the better option if your looking for hardware effected sound for your games.

If you have any PCIe slot, regardless of it being 16x, 8x, 4x, or 1x, you will be able to install the Xonar DX. The card is relatively small.
