Whats the split between music and gaming? Are you an expert gamer? Or is it rather a pasttime thing? If mostly music, I rather go with the HT Omega Claro +...has a better processor on board coupled with excellent opamps.

True, the Calro+ is a nice card also. One of the better 8788 card that were released during that "8788" rush to market. To note though, the 8788 chips used on the Claro+ are software based. This is the chip that ASUS adopted and re-branded for their Xonar series. They are audio controllers and not DSP's. This is also the same chip used in Auzentechs legendary X-Meridian.
