From an audio engineers standpoint, the XONAR is really good; It blows the SB's out of the water when it comes to sound quality.

I went from an X-Fi XtremeMusic card to a Prelude and this has been one of my best investments yet.

Thanks for all the input. The Prelude is selling for $124.99 AR at NCIX, so I decided to go with that.

Do you think these card worth the 150$..

I'm using vista and the Logitech Z-2300

Pretty much ANY discrete sound card will yield better sound than ANY onboard solution.

Soo, there it is settled, XONAR, or AUZENTZEZCH. Dont think it really matters whatn your running SUB par pc speakers. Its not like your getting like Klipcsh or ssomething even better LoL

True, but good speakers can only produce what you have at your source. Start there, good soundcard then you add good quality headphones or receiver and speakers or amps and speakers.
