My System Specs

Default Bass boost in chipsets

Hey all, i was wondering, there is much more bass in the motherboard sound card,is it like that for every chip,is there always less bass in good sound cards? and will it destroy the meds if i use bass boost in windows settings?

I wouldn't say there is less bass in good sound cards necessarily. Both my old Prelude and my Asus have options to add a lot of bass if wanted. The issue is that the more bass you add to the existing signal the worse the sound quality gets up to the point of distortion. It's also distortion that usually blows drivers in most cases.

ok thanks :) that's cool because my headphones don't distort at all even at max volume :D
