Well here's the deal. I ended up getting Siberia V2 for $60 at Staples locally on a gift receipt for Christmas (30 days after Christmas to return). Me and my wife are kind of relaxed with presents and pick a few out ourselves (its more to have gifts for us under the tree for the kids to see). Did a quick test of them and they sounded better than expected and after a break in I think I would be very happy with them (though obviously not audiophile grade). They are light and extremely comfortable, while also seeming well built. Overall I think at $60 they are a great deal and no shipping cost for being local. My plan is to hang on to them unless a better deal comes up between now and Christmas (at which point I will be forced to make a decision on which route to go). I would still opt for a higher end headset if I find a good deal on one in my <$100 price range, otherwise I will be breaking in the V2 come Christmas Day.

Opinions still welcome if anyone has anymore, since this decision can still be undone.

I as I mentioned have 4 pair of these one for myself, my sons, and my wife/daughter and we all love them I'm sure there is better out there but for price wise etc these are quite good!

I just purchased the steel series siberia V2 and can't believe my ears.I have been rocking a 5.1 system for 6 years (Logitech X560 or 760) popped these headphones on and it blows my speakers away.The bass is alot crisper and it seems I can hear the differance in direction in FPS games alot better.I may grab a soundcard to indulge my ears even more lol, I can't believe I've missed out on headsets all these years.
